Exhaustive List of Congressional Members Votes

Voting records are public information and yet countless members of Congress continue to make efforts to prevent the creation of a government sponsored website. Numerous effective third-party websites exist, but in the interest of full disclosure and open government, an official Congressional sponsored website is vital.

This information is available online through the Congressional Record (official record of happenings on the floor of congress). Many third party sites take this official information and repackage it in a more user friendly, searchable database format, but that does not mean the official information is unavailable. A new database (Federal Digital System or FDSys) from the Government Printing Office (Official "printer" of Congress) includes the Congressional Record and is a bit more user friendly than the previous database. See: http://fdsys.gpo.gov and search "roll call vote" and then select "Congressional Record" from the left column to see examples.
